Panasonic has introduced two new additions to its micro system lineup, the SC-PM302 and SC-PMX112, bringing CD playback, DAB+ and FM radio, and Bluetooth 6.0 streaming together in compact, wooden-enclosure Hi-Fi systems designed for everyday living rooms. Both Panasonic micro system models share a similar design language, but the SC-PMX112 steps up with significantly more power and added wireless features.
SC-PM302: a compact everyday Panasonic micro system
The entry-level SC-PM302 pairs a 60W full-range speaker system in acoustic wooden enclosures with a 2.4-inch colour LCD display, five EQ presets, and Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless streaming. CD playback, DAB+ and FM radio round out the sources, while integrated clock, alarm and sleep timer functions let this Panasonic micro system double as a bedside or kitchen companion. A detachable AC cord and infrared remote control are included, and the display and menus support 28 languages.
Panasonic says the SC-PM302’s full-range drivers and acoustic wooden cabinets were tuned to deliver clear, natural sound “that stays true” to the source material, whether that’s a CD, a DAB+ station, or a phone streaming over Bluetooth. A USB Type-A port also allows playback of MP3 files from a flash drive, and doubles as a 5V/500mA charging point for a connected smartphone.
SC-PMX112: more power, more sources
The SC-PMX112 shares the same CD, DAB+, FM and Bluetooth 6.0 foundation as its sibling Panasonic micro system but triples the output to 180W and adds Wi-Fi connectivity, unlocking Spotify Connect and Internet Radio alongside the existing sources. A larger 2.8-inch colour display, an optical input, and two-way speakers with wooden enclosures round out the upgrades, positioning the SC-PMX112 as the system for listeners who want to stream directly from Spotify without connecting a phone over Bluetooth each time.
The added Wi-Fi radio also opens up thousands of internet stations beyond the DAB+ and FM presets, making the SC-PMX112 better suited to listeners who want access to stations from outside their local broadcast area, alongside the convenience of controlling playback from the Spotify app on a phone or tablet.

Panasonic micro system design and controls
Both systems use the same vertically oriented chassis with a central CD slot, rotary volume control, and a row of transport buttons, flanked by a pair of bookshelf-style speakers finished in wooden enclosures. Remote control is included on both models, and each Panasonic micro system supports a detachable AC cord for flexible placement. Panasonic is positioning the pair as a modern alternative to all-in-one soundbars and smart speakers for buyers who still want physical media playback and traditional radio alongside Bluetooth streaming.
Both systems also carry integrated clock, alarm and sleep-timer functions, letting owners wake up to a favourite DAB+ station or wind down with music that fades out automatically. Panasonic has retained physical transport buttons and a volume dial on both models rather than moving every control into an app, a choice that should appeal to buyers who want quick, tactile access to everyday functions.
