Blok, the accessories brand from Monitor Audio, has introduced Blok Axis, a range of speaker stands built to give standmount loudspeakers a stable, acoustically controlled foundation. The idea behind Blok Axis is simple: a loudspeaker can only perform at its best when everything supporting it — positioning, isolation, mass — is considered as carefully as the speaker itself.
How Blok Axis Controls Resonance
At the centre of every Blok Axis stand is a rigid extruded metal central pole, designed to minimise resonance while maximising strength and stability. The pole is fully fillable with Blok’s ISOFILL acoustic damping material, adding mass exactly where it matters most to help deliver greater control, precision and musical detail. A rigid metal top plate provides a stable, acoustically controlled platform for virtually any standmount loudspeaker, while integrated rubber isolation feet help decouple the speaker from the stand, reducing unwanted vibration and resonance transfer.

At the base, chromed steel spikes provide a secure connection to the floor, improving stability and helping minimise unwanted movement, while optional Floor Guard Discs protect flooring without compromising the stand’s controlled foundation. A chamfered plywood plinth softens the profile of the base, adding a tactile, refined detail to a structure built as much for performance as for appearance.
Three Heights and Two Finishes for Blok Axis
Blok Axis is available in three heights: Axis 500 for compact rooms, nearfield listening and larger stand-mount speakers; Axis 600 for mid-sized stand-mount speakers; and Axis 700 for smaller speakers that benefit from an elevated listening position. Each height is offered in satin black with black ash plywood, or satin white with natural ash plywood, pairing rigid metal construction with plywood for added stability and mass.

“Our ambition with Axis was to create a stand with a clean, understated form that would naturally complement any loudspeaker and interior environment,” said Charles Minett, Product Design Director. “The subtle integration of wood and metal materials is not only visually refined, but purposeful, delivering strength, rigidity and balance exactly where it’s needed.” That combination of understated design and acoustic engineering is aimed squarely at systems built around compact standmounts, such as the recently updated Monitor Audio Silver Series 8G, where a stand’s isolation and mass can noticeably affect what a small cabinet is able to deliver.

Blok Axis pricing had not yet been published for individual markets at the time of writing; availability and pricing details can be found via Blok’s own site and its retailer network.
