The “High End” moved from Munich to Vienna this year, a big step for organizers “High End Society”. Here’s our first video report!
Hans-Ole Vitus walks us through his system at room HX5, V01 at High End Vienna 2026.
A Fourth Room, A New Collaboration
This room marks the fourth of Vitus Audio’s rooms at High End Vienna 2026 — a collaboration with cable brand ZenSati and Danish speaker manufacturer SV Audio, presented under the name Danish Audio Excellence. The speaker is a brand-new model having its world premiere at the show. Considering the room is a fairly tight sound booth, the setup impressed with how well the imaging and soundstage came together.
Vitus Audio Signature Electronics in the Room
The system runs on a full loom of ZenSati cabling, with Vitus Audio’s Signature-series electronics: the SCD025 CD player, the SD025 DAC/streamer, the SL103 preamplifier, and the SM025 mono amplifiers first introduced at High End Munich 2025. Compact for Vitus standards, the SM025 shares its footprint with the well-known SIA025 integrated amplifier, just slightly taller to make room for a larger transformer and heavier heatsinks.
Acoustic Treatment for a Small Space
Getting convincing imaging out of a sound booth is notoriously difficult, but acoustic diffuser panels placed at the first reflection points made a noticeable difference here — helping the room punch well above what its size would suggest.
