More than 50 meetings, album premieres and archival recordings bring together the stars of Polish music at Audio Video Show 2026. The 28th edition of Audio Video Show runs in Warsaw from 23 to 25 October. Producers, critics and music journalists join the artists on stage. Music is just one strand of this year’s programme. The show also includes the most expensive audio system Poland has ever hosted and seven must-see premieres across the exhibition floor.
This year’s show opens with Katarzyna Nosowska. On Friday 23 October at PGE Narodowy, she will premiere her album “Nigredo”, created in collaboration with Paweł Krawczyk, Michał “FOX” Król, Marcin Macuk and Andrzej Smolik. Piotr Metz, a journalist from Polish Radio Three and an Audio Video Show ambassador, will host the conversation about her musical inspirations.
Stars of Polish Music: World Album Premieres and Archival Recordings
On the same day, Wojciech Waglewski will present previously unknown Voo Voo recordings from 1986. The eight tracks were recorded for Polish Radio with Mateusz and Jan Pospieszalski and Andrzej Ryszka. The material was rediscovered in the archives after four decades. Leszek Kamiński handled the mastering. It was released on the album “1986” on CD and vinyl, as well as in a lathe-cut edition limited to 40 copies.

Saturday’s meetings open with members of Republika. They offer a musical summary of the recently completed transfer of archival recordings from the original tapes to DSD files. Next up is Zbigniew Hołdys — singer, composer and guitarist, and leader of Perfect from 1977 to 1991. In conversation with Juliusz Kaszyński of Polish Radio, he will discuss an album of the band’s live recordings.
The show also welcomes several other guests that day. Hania Derej, a young-generation composer, pianist and conductor, presents “Don’t Look Behind, Always Forward”. Mieczysław Szcześniak discusses his new album “Brothers”, recorded in the USA with Wendy Waldman and arranger H.B. Barnum. Dorota Piotrowska, a drummer and composer who spent eight years on the New York jazz scene, presents “Voices of Human Consciousness”. Baasch (Bartosz Schmidt), composer, producer and Fryderyk Award winner, discusses his music for the TV series “Lalka”.
Voices of the Younger Generation
Sunday highlights a younger generation of musicians. Radek Łukasiewicz — founder of Pustki and one half of the duo Matylda/Łukasiewicz — discusses the album “Do Mi No”, now on vinyl for the first time twenty years after its original release. Natalia Muianga, winner of the 22nd edition of “Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo”, reveals details of the analogue recording of her single “Pokochaj Mnie Ponownie”. Kuba Karaś, a key member of The Dumplings and co-creator of KARAŚ/ROGUCKI, talks with Marcin Cichoński about his solo album “Miłość to nie wojna”.

Journalists Who Tell the Best Stories About Music
A separate strand of the programme is devoted to meetings with people whose profession is telling stories about sound and image. Piotr Metz hosts original presentations across all three days, including a listening session devoted to The Beatles’ “Rubber Soul”. Piotr Stelmach, a music journalist and record collector, meets on Saturday with members of Republika, the band’s manager Jerzy Tolak and Damian Lipiński. Together they reveal lesser-known threads in the history of Polish rock.
Marek Niedźwiecki joins a session devoted to the book “Single z Żoliborza”. Tomasz Raczek shares his fascination with film music. Hirek Wrona revisits the history of glam rock. Marek Sierocki introduces the history of Depeche Mode. Wojciech Padjas invites listeners to rediscover music played from analogue records.
