Samsung One UI 9 is officially rolling out to more Galaxy devices. Starting today, the update reaches the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, following its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8. Samsung One UI 9 introduces My FanCam, which automatically tracks and reframes a chosen subject in a video recording, keeping them centered as the shot follows the action. It’s designed to make it easier to pull a clean, shareable clip out of a school recital, a friend on the dance floor or a big sports moment.
Now Brief gains new generative, editable cards that give users more say over what appears in their daily overview, whether that’s wellbeing, weather or video highlights. Samsung One UI 9 also folds warranty and service support directly into the settings menu, letting users check device warranty status, run self-diagnostics, view estimated repair costs and manage Samsung Care+ without hunting through separate apps.
Do More With Less Effort
Now Nudge shows up in more places throughout the Galaxy experience, surfacing context-aware suggestions so users can act without leaving what they’re doing, such as pulling up booking details or saving a location straight from a chat. Creative Studio can now suggest an image or greeting tied to an upcoming event, like a friend’s birthday.
Interpreter adds a new Threads view for following translated conversations and revisiting earlier messages, alongside faster live translation and quicker playback through compatible Galaxy Buds. Document Scan handles awkward sources, such as thick books or dog-eared pages, with fewer manual corrections, aided by a display optimized for larger Galaxy screens and an improved Finger Eraser tool. Voice Recorder now presents summaries with headers and tables for information that’s easier to scan at a glance.
Sharper Insight and Control Over Security and Privacy
Samsung One UI 9 extends the company’s approach to security and privacy with clearer signals about when action is needed. Security Brief delivers targeted alerts within Now Brief covering malware, apps from unknown sources and unnecessary permissions, helping users spot issues sooner. Enhanced privacy warnings use on-device AI to flag potential risks, including background attempts to access permissions, giving users a clearer picture of how their data is being accessed.
Fraud detection, meanwhile, is expanding to more countries and languages, adding Japan, Canada and India to the list of supported markets.

Samsung One UI 9 is a free software update. The rollout to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra began on 16 September 2026, after the update’s initial launch on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 alongside those foldables’ own launch. Samsung says the update will continue to expand to additional Galaxy devices gradually, with availability of individual features varying by country, region, language, model and carrier. The update follows Samsung’s broader rollout across the Galaxy S26 series, extending the same Galaxy AI improvements introduced with those phones.
