Qobuz has redesigned its mobile and tablet app with a new player interface and, for the first time, real-time synchronized lyrics. The Qobuz real-time lyrics feature scrolls line by line as a track plays, complete with translations, and arrives alongside a reworked player, a new Explore tab and richer artist credits on iOS and Android. Together, the changes turn the Qobuz app into more of a listening companion than a simple playback screen, with every part of the interface now built around whatever track is currently on.
A Redesigned Player Built Around Qobuz Real-Time Lyrics
The player’s interface and interactions have been thoroughly overhauled, with visuals that now dynamically adapt to the colours of the currently playing album artwork. This is the backdrop against which Qobuz real-time lyrics scroll, so the whole screen – not just the lyrics panel – responds to what is playing. A mini-player stays visible at all times while navigating the app, so playback controls remain within reach without interrupting exploration, and on tablets a split-screen mode lets listeners keep the player open while browsing lyrics, credits, the queue or editorial recommendations in a second pane. Reordering or removing a track from the queue is now as simple as a swipe.
One Track, an Entire Universe: the Explore Tab
The new Explore section surfaces a wide range of recommended music based on whatever is currently playing – similar albums and artists, radio stations, playlists, and content tied to the record label or genre. Qobuz’s own editorial content, including reviews, artist interviews and longform features, is now reachable directly from the player, so listeners can dig deeper into an artist’s world without leaving the track behind.
Richer Credits and Direct Artist Follows
The credits layout has also been redesigned, giving easier access to information about a recording or an artist, including album reviews, biographies, digital booklets and technical file data. Listeners can now like or follow an artist or label directly from the player, rather than leaving the app to do so.
A Customizable Mini-Player
The mini-player that stays visible during navigation can now be tailored with three shortcut buttons of the user’s choice, covering actions such as adding a track to favourites, choosing an audio output or adding it to a playlist. Combined with Qobuz real-time lyrics, credits and the Explore tab, the mini-player turns the app into more of a discovery hub than a simple transport bar.

Qobuz real-time lyrics and the redesigned player are available now on mobile and tablet for iOS and Android, at no additional cost to subscribers, and will be rolled out progressively to other platforms.
