Perlisten Audio has announced the world premiere of the Perlisten S4b Black Edition, a new bookshelf loudspeaker the Wisconsin-based manufacturer describes as a bold evolution of what is already considered one of the most awarded loudspeaker designs in recent memory, its flagship S7t Black Edition. The unveiling takes place at the end of October at Audio Video Show Warsaw, Poland, followed by a US debut at Capitol Audio Fest in November.
What the Perlisten S4b Black Edition brings
The Perlisten S4b Black Edition incorporates the brand’s latest innovations, including several US patents in acoustic design and its DPC Array driver technology. All components are taken directly from the flagship S7t Black Edition and redesigned to fit a compact bookshelf enclosure, aimed at rooms that need the speaker to take up less space while retaining the acoustical precision Perlisten is known for. Full technical details are available on Perlisten’s official S4b product page.
Construction centres on an ultra-rigid aluminium cabinet paired with a High Density Fibreboard enclosure, creating a resonance-free structure that Perlisten frames as both a visual statement and a functional advancement in loudspeaker enclosure design.
Perlisten S4b Black Edition: a statement for the Black Edition Series
“The introduction of the S4b Black Edition represents more than the launch of another exceptional loudspeaker. It is a clear statement of where Perlisten Audio is heading. Our Black Edition Series embodies the very best of our engineering expertise, innovation, and uncompromising approach to sound reproduction,” says Lars Johansen, CEO of Perlisten Audio.
Johansen also ties the launch to Perlisten’s new Master Perlistener Program, a global network of premium dealer partners the company says reflects its commitment to building stronger, more exclusive relationships with its finest retailers. “The S4b Black Edition is a perfect example of this philosophy – combining exclusive products with an equally exclusive sales experience,” he adds.
