NAD Electronics has officially rolled out Dirac Live Bass Control support for its premium BluOS streaming amplifiers, delivering advanced low-frequency optimization and seamless subwoofer integration for a significantly improved bass performance.
Major Update Brings Intelligent Bass Management to NAD Amplifiers
NAD Electronics today announced the availability of Dirac Live Bass Control for select BluOS-enabled models. Starting with BluOS version 4.16.6, this powerful room correction technology is now supported on the NAD M33 V2, NAD M10 V3, and NAD C 658 BluOS Streaming DAC, with backward compatibility for previous generations of the M33 and M10.
By combining Dirac Live Room Correction with intelligent bass management, the system analyzes both frequency response and timing behavior across main speakers and subwoofers, creating a smoother, tighter, and more immersive low-frequency experience throughout the listening room.
How Dirac Live Bass Control Elevates NAD Performance
Dirac Live Bass Control uses advanced AI and machine learning to co-optimize speakers and one or multiple subwoofers. This results in precise phase alignment, better transient response, and consistent bass performance across different seating positions — effectively eliminating boominess, standing waves, and uneven bass response.
Rikard Hellerfelt, VP and Head of Consumer Electronics at Dirac, commented:
“Traditionally, configuring subwoofers for optimal performance has been complex. Our technology creates a seamless blend at the crossover point, delivering impactful bass that’s free of unwanted reflections.”
Morten Nielsen, Product Manager at NAD Electronics, added:
“This update enhances our newest amplifiers like the M33 V2 and M10 V3, while also supporting older models through the BluOS platform — reinforcing our commitment to long-term product value.”

Why This Matters for Audiophiles and Home Theater Enthusiasts
This update transforms NAD’s already acclaimed streaming amplifiers into even more capable systems. Whether you’re listening to high-resolution music or enjoying movies, Dirac Live Bass Control delivers deeper, cleaner, and more controlled bass that integrates naturally with the main speakers — without the typical guesswork involved in subwoofer setup.
The feature is particularly valuable in real-world rooms where bass performance often varies by seating position. With this technology, users can now achieve reference-level bass performance that remains consistent wherever they sit.
