Hegel Music Systems has split its new integrated amplifier lineup into two distinct routes rather than one compromise. The Hegel H200 A200 pair shares the same 150-watt Class A/B amplifier platform, but the Hegel H200 A200 duo lets listeners choose between a fully connected system and a purely analog one, instead of forcing streaming and digital features onto everyone who buys the amplifier. It is a deliberate move from the Norwegian manufacturer, whose integrated amplifiers have long tried to bring more of the system into a single chassis.
Hegel introduces the Hegel H200 A200 pair in the video below.
Hegel H200 A200: the connected route
The H200 is Hegel’s “Connected” model: an integrated amplifier with a built-in DAC, network streaming, a Moving Magnet phono input, USB drive playback and a headphone output, alongside the same 150W-per-channel amplifier section used across the range. Streaming support covers Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast and Roon Ready, so the amplifier works with services listeners already use rather than a closed ecosystem. Digital inputs include coaxial, two optical, USB-B, USB-A (for drives holding up to 10,000 songs) and a network connection, all handled by a DAC and streaming section Hegel designed in-house alongside the amplifier itself. A coaxial digital output with DAC Loop lets an external DAC be added later without losing the H200 as the system’s hub, and the bundled Hegel Control app covers input selection, playback and internet radio.

Hegel H200 A200: the classic, analog route
The A200 strips the concept back to amplification alone: no DAC, no streaming section, no digital inputs at all. In their place are two balanced XLR inputs and two unbalanced RCA inputs, plus the same MM phono stage found in the H200, derived from Hegel’s standalone V10 phono preamp. It suits listeners who already own a DAC or streamer they like, or who build systems around vinyl, CD or radio sources and would rather not pay for digital circuitry they will not use. Both amplifiers in the Hegel H200 A200 range use Hegel’s SoundEngine2 distortion-cancelling circuit and are stable down to 2-ohm loads, with a damping factor rated above 4000 for tight control over demanding loudspeakers.

Everyday features on both models
Both the H200 and the A200 can learn volume commands from a TV remote, assign a fixed volume level per input for home-theater integration, and support Control4 and Crestron smart-home systems. Startup and maximum volume limits, automatic display dimming and auto standby round out the daily-use features Hegel builds into every amplifier, regardless of which signal path a listener chooses. Hegel frames the choice between the two models less as a hierarchy and more as a fork: the H200 for listeners who want one connected hub, the A200 for those who would rather keep each component doing one job well.

Pricing and availability
The Hegel H200 is priced at €3,995 / $4,995 / £3,500 and is expected to begin shipping in late August 2026. The Hegel A200 is priced at €3,295 / $3,995 / £2,750, with shipping expected to start in October 2026. Both amplifiers join Hegel’s existing integrated amplifier range, which includes the H190 and the H150, and both are covered in more detail, including a walkthrough video, on Hegel’s official product pages.
