The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, January 24–25, 2026, at the Conrad Dubai hotel. Making their debut at the show are two highly anticipated portable DAC/headphone amplifiers designed to deliver flagship performance in compact, user-friendly formats.
The MD3 Magnetic Portable DAC/Headphone Amplifier stands out as an ultra-portable audiophile device weighing just 50 grams. Engineered with a premium ESS ES9039Q2M DAC paired with four ES9603Q headphone amplifiers, the MD3 features a true balanced circuit and meticulous tuning for a blend of musicality and high-resolution detail. An aluminum shielding plate minimizes interference for a purer signal path. Its standout design includes a MagSafe-style magnetic back plate for secure attachment to mobile devices, a rotatable 1.28-inch LCD display for versatile orientation, dual USB-C ports supporting simultaneous use and charging, 100-step digital volume control with memory, and a dedicated physical “Vista Button” for intuitive operation. The precision CNC-machined aluminum chassis further enhances its premium feel and portability.
Also premiering is the DS3 Portable DAC & Headphone Amplifier, touted as the world’s first battery-free dongle DAC/amp powered by XMOS technology, developed in collaboration with XMOS. It leverages a next-generation 16-core XMOS processor clocked at 1.6GHz for efficient power use, precise clock management, and advanced hardware audio processing. Built around the ESS ES9039Q2M DAC, the DS3 supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512, delivering up to 220mW of output power to handle a broad range of headphones.
Aimed at both audiophiles and gamers, the DS3 incorporates hardware-level 7.1 spatial audio processing that requires no drivers or software, ensuring true plug-and-play compatibility across devices. A dedicated Game Mode enables UAC 1.0 connectivity for consoles like PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, with selectable modes including Original, FPS, and Spatial Audio. The FPS engine sharpens positional audio cues such as footsteps and gunfire. Future firmware updates will add web-based PEQ control featuring a hardware-level 32-band EQ without compromising signal quality.
