CEDIA Expo 2026 Home Cinema fans will get a fresh look at how flagship engineering scales down to real-world budgets this September, as seven luxury AV brands – ASCENDO, AcustiMOD, Christie, madVR Labs, Moovia, Seymour-Screen Excellence, and StormAudio – return to Denver for CEDIA Expo 2026 with a shared demonstration room, Sound Room 10 (SR10).
CEDIA Expo 2026 Home Cinema: A Scalable Vision for SR10
Last year the same group of partners built an ultra-high-end, $1M-plus private cinema that picked up Best Demo/Home Theater honors from AVS Forum, AV Nirvana, and ecoustics. For CEDIA Expo 2026, the objective shifts: rather than chasing the upper limits of residential cinema, SR10 is built to show integrators how the engineering philosophy behind flagship private theaters scales to a system that Seymour-Screen Excellence founder Chris Seymour says is roughly four times less expensive than last year’s room, while still qualifying as a genuine luxury home cinema.
Audio: ASCENDO, AcustiMOD, and StormAudio Power a 9.8.4 System
SR10’s soundtrack comes from a 9.8.4-channel home cinema system built around ASCENDO Immersive Audio, AcustiMOD, and StormAudio. ASCENDO will debut its new DSP4-6602 DSP/amplifier and show THE18 SUB PASSIVE VENTED, alongside an as-yet-unannounced audio innovation planned for day one of the show. StormAudio’s Fusion 20 receiver, which combines reference-level surround processing and amplification in a single chassis, drives the system, while AcustiMOD – built on the heritage of Officina Acustica – contributes a modular acoustic architecture designed to bring bespoke-level room treatment within reach of a far wider range of budgets.

Image quality in SR10 comes from a three-way partnership: Christie’s projection technology handles contrast, color, and 4K clarity, a Seymour-Screen Excellence Enlightor-Neo acoustically transparent screen provides the canvas, and the award-winning madVR Envy Core MK2 handles processing duties. The Enlightor-Neo is the only retractable screen in its class with deep velvet borders, concealed tab-tensioning, no minimum seating distance, motorized masking, and integrated black backing. The Envy Core MK2 adds patented HDR dynamic tone mapping, full HDMI 2.1 8K input support, AI-powered upscaling, dynamic subtitle overlay, and automated screen masking.
Comfort: Moovia’s Marbella Media Sofa
Rounding out the room, German manufacturer Moovia supplies its Marbella media sofa, designed to hold up to long, comfortable viewing sessions without feeling out of place outside the cinema. The Marbella is controlled through Moovia’s newly redesigned app, giving integrators a more tactile way to manage seating positions and automation alongside the rest of the SR10 system.
