Custom-integration veteran Autonomic has introduced the Autonomic MA6 MA4 streaming amplifiers, a new generation of M Series products designed to fold the components of a high-performance whole-home audio system into a single chassis. Rather than stacking a separate streamer, preamplifier, matrix switch and amplifier in the rack, the Autonomic MA6 MA4 pairing consolidates all four functions into one 2RU unit, a shift the company says trims installation time, wiring and points of failure on projects ranging from a handful of rooms to sprawling estates. The launch, alongside a redesigned TuneBridge app, arrives as Autonomic marks 20 years in professional streaming audio.
Autonomic MA6 MA4: One Chassis, Eight Zones or Five
The MA6 is the larger of the pair, covering eight zones — six amplified outputs plus two line-level zones — and delivering more than 2kW of continuous power. The more compact MA4 covers five zones, four amplified and one line-level, for over 1.4kW. Multiple M Series units can be linked under a single control-system driver to scale a system to as many as 96 zones, letting the Autonomic MA6 MA4 platform serve as a building block for anything from a media room to a full estate.
Each output path runs through an ESS Sabre DAC and a dedicated preamp stage, aimed at keeping noise low and dynamic range wide no matter how many zones are active. Per-zone DSP adds a seven-band parametric EQ alongside crossover, delay, gain, volume-normalization, speaker-profile and ducking controls, so installers can tune every room independently rather than applying one blanket setting across the system.
Native Streaming and a Redesigned TuneBridge App
Both halves of the Autonomic MA6 MA4 range stream natively from Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Pandora, SiriusXM, Deezer, TuneIn, SoundMachine and more, with AirPlay 2 available independently in every zone. The accompanying TuneBridge app has been rebuilt around three core views — Now Playing, Zones and Home — to cut down the steps needed for everyday tasks like starting music, grouping rooms or adjusting volume. Autonomic positions TuneBridge as a companion to, not a replacement for, a home automation system, with driver support continuing for Crestron, Control4, Josh.ai, RTI, URC and others; opto-isolated trigger inputs and 12V outputs cover paging, doorbells and third-party amplifier control.
Two Decades in Streaming Audio
Autonomic was founded in 2006 to bridge digital music libraries with professionally installed automation systems, and introduced the M3 and M5 Pro streamers that this new amplifier range now builds on. Its Mirage Media Server entered the CEDIA Product Hall of Fame in 2023. “The MA Series and TuneBridge are the next evolution of that idea,” said Autonomic co-founder and CEO Michael de Nigris, who reacquired the company from SnapAV in 2020. “Fewer components mean less rack space, less wiring, less installation time and fewer things to troubleshoot.”
Pricing and Availability
The Autonomic MA6 MA4 amplifiers are shipping now through Autonomic’s authorized dealer network. MSRP is set at $5,999 for the MA6 and $4,499 for the MA4, both configurable with up to 8TB of optional internal NVMe SSD storage that can be shared across an entire eAudioCast-linked system.
