T+A has introduced the Solitaire T Pro Nightflight, a new finish for its flagship closed-back wireless headphone that wraps reference-level engineering in a travel-friendly shell. The Solitaire T Pro Nightflight takes its name and colour story from a storm-tossed night sky: a black base offset by deep grey and bright silver accents, built around the chamfered headband and cup design that has defined T+A’s Solitaire family for forty years. Beyond the finish, the German manufacturer positions the Solitaire T Pro Nightflight as a true dual-purpose headphone — a reference-level closed audiophile design that is equally happy as a lightweight travel companion.
The Solitaire T Pro Nightflight’s Hybrid Signal Path
At the core of the Solitaire T Pro Nightflight is a connection philosophy that spans the digital and analogue domains without compromise. The headphone can run fully digitally over USB-C for bit-perfect playback, or fully passively via symmetrical cable inputs — Pentaconn, 3.5mm or 6.3mm — all wired in OFC cable with gold-plated contacts. T+A’s Active Analog concept bridges the two: it lets a pure analogue signal retain access to the headphone’s volume control and active noise suppression without ever touching the digital domain. For wireless use, a Qualcomm QCC5181 chipset and Bluetooth 6.0 carry LDAC and aptX HD/Adaptive/Lossless codecs, narrowing the gap between wired and wireless listening.

Studio Pro Mode and Dolby Atmos
Push a button and the headphone switches into Studio Pro Mode, handing the digital stream to a second ESS ES9219 Sabre DAC feeding a bespoke analogue amplifier and dedicated volume control — effectively a mobile version of a stationary high-end system. T+A has also built in Dolby Atmos support, turning the Solitaire T Pro Nightflight into a private, 360-degree listening room where spatial content is felt as much as heard. A 42mm dynamic driver with a cellulose diaphragm and edge damping forms the acoustic foundation, tuned to avoid the coloration that undamped diaphragms can introduce.

Hybrid Noise Control for Life in Motion
T+A engineered the Solitaire T Pro Nightflight’s noise suppression to work both with and without the battery switched on. Passive insulation handles mid-range and treble noise on its own, while a chip-based active system removes low-frequency rumble when power is available — useful on a 30,000-foot flight as much as in a busy office. The aluminium housing is machined from solid stock, bead-blasted and anodised, and the ear cups rotate 90 degrees and fold flat for storage. Up to 50 hours of playback are available in standard use, or 25 hours in the more demanding Studio Pro Mode, with a full charge taking around two hours over USB-C. It continues the design language first introduced by the original Solitaire T, T+A’s first headphone built to bridge audiophile, work and travel use.
Pricing and availability
T+A has not published a retail price or release date for the Solitaire T Pro Nightflight at launch; interested buyers should contact a T+A dealer for availability. The headphone slots into the existing Solitaire T Pro range alongside the Riviera colourway, both built around the same transducer and electronics platform.
