At Dutch Audio Event 2026, held on 10 and 11 October at NH Koningshof in Veldhoven, Dutch distributor D&D Audio built one of the show’s standout rooms entirely around Vitus Audio. The Danish manufacturer’s own Hans-Ole Vitus was on hand throughout the weekend, and the headline attraction was the Vitus Audio SM-025, the brand’s newest Signature Series monoblock amplifier, making its first public appearance in the Netherlands.
“This is just like next level,” Hans-Ole Vitus said of the room D&D Audio had put together, calling it a step up even from the brand’s already well-received presentation at the same show the year before. “A huge thank you to the people at D&D for putting this together. That makes me proud as a designer, as a founder of a company, to be represented in this way.”

A Signature Series system, top to bottom
D&D Audio’s room ran an all-Vitus Audio Signature Series electronics chain. On one side sat the SL-103 line stage together with the SM-025 monoblocks; on the other, the SP-103 phono stage fed the system’s two sources, the SD-025 DAC and streamer for digital playback and a turntable for vinyl. Loudspeakers came from YG Acoustics, the turntable from SME, and the cabling throughout the system was Crystal Cable, rounding out a system built with no compromises on any single link in the chain.

The Vitus Audio SM-025: the newest Signature Series monoblocks
The Vitus Audio SM-025 replaces the long-serving SM-011 and, according to Hans-Ole Vitus, marks the first time the model has been demonstrated in the Netherlands. The gain in output comes from a reworked output stage and internal layout rather than simply higher bias current: Class A output is said to roughly double compared with its predecessor, to around 50W into 8 ohms and 100W into 4 ohms, with Class AB output reaching about 200W into 8 ohms and 400W into 4 ohms. The amplifier is fully balanced from input to output and runs without global negative feedback, backed by a custom 1.4kVA transformer per chassis and a large capacitor bank for its power supply. Each monoblock also borrows circuit ideas first developed for the flagship SIA-030 integrated amplifier, while keeping the Signature Series’ familiar white-and-black design language.

A packed room, two days running
D&D Audio’s room was also simply one of the busiest at the show. “Yesterday we had a ton of people in here. Most of the time we couldn’t get into the room, so that was pretty cool,” Hans-Ole Vitus said, describing a room that is normally among the first visitors reach near the entrance. “It was rare, a very few times over the whole day yesterday, that you could actually just walk in and find a sitting space. It was packed. People were standing in the corner trying to get in.”

For a manufacturer, that kind of turnout at a regional show is exactly the validation a new flagship amplifier needs. Between the Vitus Audio SM-025 monoblocks’ Dutch debut and a system built without a single weak link, D&D Audio’s room was a strong reminder of why Dutch Audio Event has grown into one of the Benelux’s most-watched high-end audio shows.
