Nubert nuLine 284 Cappuccino and nuLine 34 Cappuccino are the German loudspeaker specialist’s newest finish options, added to two of its most established nuLine models. The compact nuLine 34 bookshelf speaker and the nuLine 284 floorstander now ship in a warm Cappuccino multi-coat lacquer, joining the existing black and white options. Both speakers keep their proven acoustic engineering unchanged — only the exterior lacquer is new — giving long-time Nubert customers a third colourway for two of the brand’s most popular designs without touching the sound signature that earned them a loyal following over more than a decade on the market.

Two Established Designs, One New Colour
The nuLine 34 is Nubert’s compact two-way bookshelf speaker, built around a 25 mm fabric tweeter and a 150 mm long-stroke woofer in a bass-reflex cabinet. At just under 34 cm tall, it’s designed to work equally well on stands in a dedicated stereo setup or as a surround speaker in a home-cinema system, and it has remained one of Nubert’s steadiest sellers since its introduction thanks to a neutral, uncoloured tonal balance that the brand’s engineering team has refined over several product generations.
The Nubert nuLine 284 Cappuccino sits at the opposite end of the nuLine range: a three-way floorstanding tower just 18 cm wide but 110 cm tall, using a flat-diaphragm midrange driver, Nubert’s nuOva tweeter, and three 150 mm long-stroke woofers to reach down to 33 Hz without a separate subwoofer. Despite its slim footprint, it is rated to handle up to 450 watts of peak power, giving it enough headroom for both demanding stereo listening and use as a home-cinema front channel.
Both models are manufactured using Nubert’s multi-coat lacquer process, in which the cabinet is sprayed and sanded in several passes to achieve the same soft-line, high-gloss finish regardless of colour, and both are produced at the company’s long-standing manufacturing partner in Germany rather than outsourced to a generic overseas line.

A Softer Alternative to Black and White
Nubert positions Cappuccino as a warmer, more living-room-friendly alternative to the brand’s standard black and white lacquer options, aimed at buyers who want a visible, well-built speaker rather than one disguised to disappear into the room. The tone is intended to sit comfortably alongside wood furniture, warm wall colours, and natural materials — the kind of interiors where a stark black or white tower can look visually heavy, and where a pair of floorstanders is going to remain in plain sight regardless of how discreet the cabinet shape is.
Because the Cappuccino finish uses the same multi-coat lacquer process as the existing colours, buyers aren’t trading any build quality or durability for the new look; the lacquer is still applied and hand-sanded in several layers for the same soft-line edges and high-gloss depth Nubert uses across the nuLine range. The move also reflects a broader shift in how Nubert talks about its speakers: the nuZeo 3, which the company introduced in its slimline series last year, points to the same push toward speakers designed to fit deliberately into furnished rooms, rather than purely acoustic-first enclosures that happen to need a corner.

The Nubert nuLine 34 Cappuccino is priced at €365 per pair, while the Nubert nuLine 284 Cappuccino is priced at €995 per pair. Both are sold direct from Nubert’s German factory, in keeping with the company’s long-standing direct-to-consumer model, and are available now through the official Nubert online store.
