The Yamaha ATS-B200 packs everything most living rooms need from a soundbar into a single slim unit, without a separate subwoofer box to find space for. Two 75mm built-in subwoofers, paired with dual bass reflex ports, handle the low end directly inside the bar, while DTS Virtual:X processing creates a virtual 3D surround field from front, sides and even overhead.
Yamaha positions the Yamaha ATS-B200 as an easy upgrade for anyone still relying on a TV’s built-in speakers: it installs in minutes, sitting on a shelf below the screen or wall-mounted using the built-in bracket slot, and pairs with a single HDMI ARC connection so the TV remote can already control volume and power. A cleverly shaped centre section lines up with the middle of the screen even when the bar sits directly in front of the TV, so it never looks like an afterthought bolted on below the picture.
Dual Subwoofers and Clear Voice

Inside the cabinet, two 55mm woofers and two 25mm tweeters cover the mid and high frequencies, while the twin 75mm subwoofers driven through dual bass reflex ports add the low-frequency weight a slim bar like this would otherwise lack. Total output is rated at 120 watts, split between 30 watts per channel for the left and right drivers and 60 watts for the built-in subwoofer section. Clear Voice technology isolates dialogue from background effects and music, lifting it forward automatically rather than requiring a manual EQ adjustment for every programme.
Four sound modes, Stereo, Standard, Movie and Game, retune the Yamaha ATS-B200’s processing for the content on screen: Stereo keeps music playback faithful to the original mix, Standard suits everyday television, Movie widens the soundstage for film soundtracks, and Game sharpens the localisation of footsteps and effects for competitive titles. Support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS Digital Surround means the bar decodes whatever a connected TV, streaming box or games console sends over HDMI ARC without extra configuration.
Connections and App Control

The rear panel carries one HDMI output with ARC support, two optical digital inputs, and a subwoofer output for anyone who wants to add a dedicated external unit later. Bluetooth 5.0 with SBC and AAC codecs handles wireless streaming from a phone or tablet, with a range of roughly 10 metres without obstructions. The free Sound Bar Remote app puts sound mode switching, Clear Voice and bass adjustment on a smartphone screen, alongside basic power and input controls, so the included remote isn’t the only way to make quick changes.
Design and Availability
At 910mm wide and just 53mm tall when placed in front of a TV, the Yamaha ATS-B200 is built to disappear beneath a screen rather than compete with it visually, and it weighs only 3.2kg, light enough to wall-mount without special hardware. Standby consumption drops as low as 0.2 watts with HDMI control and Bluetooth standby switched off.
