Danish loudspeaker manufacturer DALI has unveiled its Phantom E-WR series. The Phantom E-60 WR and Phantom E-80 WR are designed to deliver exceptional audio performance in challenging custom installation conditions. The speakers can withstand extreme temperatures from -20°C to +60°C and can handle up to 100% humidity levels. With an IP65 rating, these speakers are protected against indirect water spray, dust, and sand, making them suitable for a wide range of installations – from bathrooms to patios.
Phantom of the opera
The series incorporates a DALI-designed driver with a waterproof polypropylene cone and natural rubber surround to ensure minimal sound coloration, rigidity, and self-damping. The result? A natural midrange and deep, rich low-frequency performance. Both models feature a 25 mm decoupled textile dome tweeter to enhance clarity and detail of the upper frequency range. In terms of acoustic design, the speakers are designed with a 5° tilt in their drivers within the ceiling mount chassis for precise acoustic dispersion directed towards the primary listening area.
Pricing and availability
The Phantom E-WR series also offers installation flexibility with swing-out dogleg clamps that require no specialist tools and midrange and high-frequency level adjustments. The Phantom E-60 WR and Phantom E-80 WR will be available from March 2024 at a price of €299/$450 and €399/$550 respectively.
