Orchard Audio has officially announced the Orchard Audio Starkrimson HT Ultra, a modular GaN power amplifier series that marks the boutique American brand’s first move into multichannel home cinema. Available in three-, four- and five-channel configurations, the Orchard Audio Starkrimson HT Ultra brings the same gallium-nitride switching technology and per-channel power-supply philosophy behind Orchard Audio’s stereo and monoblock amplifiers to full surround and Dolby Atmos systems.

Founder Leo Ayzenshtat says the new series was developed in direct response to customer requests for a multichannel amplifier built around Orchard Audio’s GaN technology. Each Orchard Audio Starkrimson HT Ultra chassis is based on the engineering used in the company’s Stereo Ultra and Mono Ultra Premium amplifiers, and shares their 1200W custom power supply. What sets the design apart is its modularity: buyers can specify anywhere from a single shared power supply up to one dedicated 1200W supply per channel, with optional capacitor boards adding up to 43,600uF of total capacitance for channels driving demanding loudspeakers.
Built to Scale From Compact Setups to Full Atmos Rigs
Each channel of the Orchard Audio Starkrimson HT Ultra delivers 250W into 8 ohms or 500W into 4 ohms when given its own power supply, with a fixed 19dB of gain, a fully balanced signal path and 2-ohm capable, 1-ohm stable operation. Orchard Audio positions the range for everything from compact three-channel front stages to larger immersive layouts such as 5.2.4 or 7.2.2, with two units combinable to reach nine channels or more. The standard 4U chassis measures 17.72 x 16.5 x 9 inches, keeping installation straightforward even in the larger, fully loaded configurations.
