Linn has added the 343 to its loudspeaker line-up, a compact reference floorstander that brings the electronics architecture, Pistonik bass technology and composite cabinet language of its flagship 360 down into slender, room-friendly proportions. Linn describes the Linn 343 as the compact reference loudspeaker that fits into any home, built to deliver scale and composure that belie its footprint.
What Makes the Linn 343 Different
At the rear of each cabinet sits a module, concealed within a curvaceous cowl, that gathers the electronics driving and controlling the speaker. It is mechanically isolated on a three-point spring mounting system and passively cooled in silence, a layout designed to protect the integrity of the music signal and minimise loss and distortion from source to sound. The Exakt Integrated version pairs this with Class AB amplification and Adaptive Bias Control plus Organik DACs, while a Passive with Active Bass variant lets listeners run the 343 with external amplification and an Exaktbox.

The cabinet itself is all-new: a moulded composite enclosure with a continuous, hard-edge-free form that supports broad dispersion, rock-solid imaging and an exceptionally wide listening area. Its stiffness and density help maximise acoustic volume, house the bass system, and preserve the slender proportions that give the 343 its visual lightness. The speaker sits alongside Linn’s smaller 119 bookshelf speaker in the brand’s passive range, offering a floorstanding, more fully-loaded alternative within the same Exakt ecosystem.
Pistonik Bass and a New Composite Cabinet
Low frequencies come from a Pistonik bass system, in which cabinet, down-firing placement, drive unit behaviour and supporting electronics work as a single acoustic system. A Power DAC stage combines DAC and amplification into one stage to minimise signal loss, feeding a Linn-designed 8-inch Pistonik lower bass driver. Linn says the result is bass with remarkable scale, texture and composure that feels intrinsic to the recording, rather than bolted on by a separate subwoofer.

Above the bass system, a 190mm aluminium diaphragm handles upper bass, while a 64mm thin-ply woven carbon dome and 19mm thin-ply woven carbon dome cover midrange and treble respectively, shared across both the Exakt Integrated and Passive with Active Bass versions. Room correction comes via Linn’s Space Optimisation+ on the Exakt Integrated model, or through a Linn Network Music Player on the passive version.

Pricing and availability
Linn has not published a retail price for the 343; as with the rest of its range, pricing is confirmed through authorised Linn dealers and depends on finish and configuration (Exakt Integrated or Passive with Active Bass). The speaker is available now in the Glasgow Collection (Clyde Built, Single Malt and Linn Heritage), the Signature Collection (Triton), and the Classic Collection (Piano Black and Alpine White). Full details, finish options and demo bookings are listed on Linn’s official 343 product page.
