Berlin-based audio brand Teufel has introduced the Teufel Studio 5X BT, a Bluetooth-equipped version of its Studio 5X active monitor that pairs a coaxial 3-way driver array with a built-in Qualcomm aptX HD receiver. Priced at €549, the Teufel Studio 5X BT is aimed at producers and critical listeners who want studio-grade accuracy without giving up wireless convenience.
The Teufel Studio 5X BT keeps the original’s coaxial design
Like the standard Studio 5X, the Teufel Studio 5X BT is built around a coaxial tweeter-and-midrange arrangement designed by Teufel’s Berlin-based acoustic engineers, many of whom are also producers and musicians in their own right. A long-throw 5.25-inch woofer handles bass down to 37 Hz (at -10 dB) at high, distortion-free volume levels, while tweeters fitted with waveguides widen the sweet spot and DSP-driven phase-linear filters keep transients time-accurate. Teufel developed the cabinet using a Klippel Near-Field Scanner system, and rounded the enclosure’s corners to minimize reflections off its edges.
The headline addition on the Teufel Studio 5X BT is the built-in Bluetooth receiver with support for both AAC and Qualcomm aptX HD, letting the monitor double as a high-quality wireless speaker alongside its balanced XLR/6.3mm combo input and unbalanced RCA input. The speakers can be placed upright or on their side, and a set of rear-panel switches handle room-matching low-shelf and high-shelf filters, a dimmable status LED, and configurable standby timers.

Built for desks and stands alike
Two M6 threaded sockets on each Teufel Studio 5X BT cabinet accept standard tripods, wall mounts or ceiling mounts, and Teufel offers a dedicated pair of table tripods developed with K&M as an optional accessory. Total power output is rated at 122W RMS, drawing up to 250W from the mains with a standby consumption of just 0.5W, and settings are retained even after the speakers are disconnected from power.

Pricing and availability
The Teufel Studio 5X BT is available now direct from Teufel at €549, alongside the non-Bluetooth Studio 5X at €499. Both versions ship with a pair of 2m IEC power cables and are covered by Teufel’s standard warranty terms.
