Technics is marking its 60th anniversary with a new Technics AZ100 Champagne Gold colourway for its flagship EAH-AZ100 true wireless earbuds, joining the existing silver and black finishes. The launch lands in the same month Technics unveiled a very different take on the same earbuds: a limited-edition EAH-AZ100 created with The Rolling Stones.
Technics AZ100 Champagne Gold: a 60th anniversary finish
To mark six decades of the Technics brand, the Technics AZ100 Champagne Gold pairs the earbuds and charging case in a warm metallic gold finish, expanding the EAH-AZ100 lineup to three colour choices. “This year, we are proud to be able to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Technics and we hope to have brought the same joy of music into the homes of our many customers, similar to what I experienced throughout my life,” said Michiko Ogawa, Director of Technics Audio. The Champagne Gold edition carries the exact same hardware as the standard EAH-AZ100, including the Magnetic Fluid Driver, Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Voice Focus AI for calls, and 3-device multipoint connectivity.

The same award-winning EAH-AZ100 underneath
Every AZ100 colourway, including Champagne Gold, is built around Technics’ 10mm Magnetic Fluid Driver, which places an oil-like magnetic fluid inside the voice coil to reduce distortion and control bass. Battery life runs to roughly 10 hours with ANC on (12 hours with it off), extending to about 28 hours total with the charging case, and the earbuds support USB-C or Qi wireless charging with IPX4 water resistance. The EAH-AZ100 has already picked up widespread acclaim since its original January 2025 launch, and the Champagne Gold edition changes nothing about that formula beyond the finish.
A very different AZ100: the Rolling Stones Limited Edition
Days before the Champagne Gold announcement, Technics revealed a second, unrelated special edition of the same earbuds: the EAH-AZ100 Rolling Stones Limited Edition, created to coincide with the band’s new album Foreign Tongues, released 10 July 2026 and recorded at Metropolis Studios in London. Rather than a new colour, this edition pairs the standard black EAH-AZ100 with an exclusive rubber protective case embossed with the Rolling Stones’ Lips & Tongue logo, presented in a dedicated gift box.

Only 5,000 units, each individually numbered
Technics is capping worldwide production of the Rolling Stones Limited Edition at 5,000 pairs. Every charging case is laser-engraved with an individual serial number between 0001 and 5000, and Technics says numbers cannot be pre-selected by buyers. The edition is sold exclusively online, primarily through Panasonic’s own Panasonic Store Plus, rather than through the wider retail network that carries the Champagne Gold and other standard AZ100 colours.

Pricing and availability
The Technics AZ100 Champagne Gold is priced the same as the rest of the EAH-AZ100 range, $299 / £259 / €299, and is available now through Technics‘ online store, Amazon and authorised retailers. The Rolling Stones Limited Edition is priced at £259 / €299 and is available online only while the 5,000-unit run lasts.
