Ferrum Audio is making waves at this week’s Bristol Hi-Fi Show (February 20–22, 2026) with the debut of a fully integrated high-end audio ecosystem centered on its acclaimed lineup of DACs, headphone amplifiers, and hybrid power solutions. The Polish brand, known for its innovative approach to audio electronics, presents a cohesive family of products designed to deliver exceptional musicality, upgradeability, and performance without unnecessary complexity.

Drawing on decades of expertise in designing premium audio gear, Ferrum emphasizes a scalable ecosystem where each component complements the others. The range includes the flagship WANDLA converter, the versatile WANDLA HP all-in-one headphone amp, the award-winning OOR headphone amplifier, the refreshed ERCO Gen 2 DAC/headphone amp, and the HYPSOS hybrid power system—now expanded with the new HYPSOS Dual Output variant. At the heart of the system is proprietary engineering, a unified design language, and the Ferrum Power Link (FPL), which enables seamless upgrades for enhanced transparency, dynamics, and control.

  • WANDLA – The Converter
  • WANDLA HP – The All-in-One Headphone Amp
  • OOR – The Award-Winning Headphone Amplifier
  • ERCO Gen 2 – Entry-Level Elevated
  • HYPSOS – Perfect Power, Now with Dual Output

WANDLA – The Converter

Positioned as the cornerstone of the lineup, WANDLA is dubbed “The Converter” and represents Ferrum’s forward-looking vision for digital-to-analog conversion. Built around the high-performance ESS Sabre ES9038PRO DAC chip and a custom current-to-voltage (I/V) converter stage, it features the proprietary SERCE ARM-based digital audio module. This shortens the signal path while supporting MQA decoding/rendering and advanced digital filter options, including one ESS filter and four custom HQ Player filters tailored for Ferrum.

Fully balanced from input to output, WANDLA incorporates a proprietary IC line amplifier, a high-resolution touchscreen interface, and analog volume control with a bypass option. It excels in transparency, dynamic range, and fatigue-free listening across formats from standard CD resolution to ultra-high PCM and DSD. Pairing with HYPSOS via the Ferrum Power Link unlocks its maximum potential through 4T sensing technology.

Price: £2,795 / $3,695

WANDLA HP – The All-in-One Headphone Amp

Bridging the gap between the ERCO Gen 2 and a full WANDLA + OOR setup, WANDLA HP integrates a robust, fully balanced composite IC headphone amplifier into the same chassis as the standard WANDLA. It retains the full DAC architecture and digital features while delivering up to 3.5 W into 50 ohms on balanced output—approaching the authority and precision of the flagship OOR. Ideal for audiophiles seeking a streamlined, single-box solution, it remains fully upgradeable with HYPSOS.

Price: £3,295 / $3,695 (Note: USD pricing aligns with base WANDLA in some references, but positioned as a premium variant.)

OOR – The Award-Winning Headphone Amplifier

Ferrum’s discrete, fully balanced OOR headphone amp has earned accolades, including an EISA Award for Best Headphone Amplifier. Engineered for ultra-low distortion, expansive dynamics, and superior control, it maintains a truly balanced signal path with XLR inputs (and balanced operation via RCA). Advanced output transistor steering prevents devices from turning off, minimizing distortion and boosting transient response. OOR reaches its peak when paired with HYPSOS via Ferrum Power Link.

Price: £1,995 / $2,275

ERCO Gen 2 – Entry-Level Elevated

The refreshed ERCO Gen 2 brings Ferrum’s more accessible DAC/headphone amp closer to flagship performance. Upgraded with a new bootloader, enhanced DSP engine, and the ESS Sabre ES9028PRO chip, it now supports PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD512. Improvements include Ferrum’s preferred HQ digital filter, a refined I/V converter stage, balanced 4.4 mm and unbalanced 6.35 mm headphone outputs, balanced XLR and RCA line outs, analog volume control with bypass, and full MQA support. Existing ERCO owners can upgrade to Gen 2 specs, and the unit thrives with HYPSOS for even greater musicality.

Price: £1,795 / $2,050

HYPSOS – Perfect Power, Now with Dual Output

The award-winning HYPSOS (EISA Best Product of the Year) blends linear and switching power topologies for minimal noise/ripple, rapid transients, and high efficiency. Adjustable from 5–30 V with Sweet Spot Tuning and 4T Sensing for precise load delivery, it includes automation features like trigger in/out and Apple TV remote compatibility. HYPSOS powers Ferrum gear—and many third-party devices—for transformative gains.

The new HYPSOS Dual Output variant provides two synchronized outputs (same voltage, up to 60 W and 6 A total), enabling simultaneous powering of two components like OOR and WANDLA to simplify setups and boost upgrade paths.

HYPSOS Price: £1,195 / $1,499 HYPSOS Dual Output Price: £1,395

Ferrum’s ecosystem is on display at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show in the Advanced MP3 room (3rd floor, Room 326), offering attendees a chance to experience these components in action. With a focus on modularity, proprietary tech, and uncompromising sound quality, Ferrum Audio continues to push boundaries in high-end personal audio and desktop hi-fi systems.

Marco Lisi is the publisher of Best of High End, part of AV Concepts BV. His path into audio started early: as a teenager he was drawn into the world of free radio, presenting shows and living immersed in music every day. In his early twenties he ran his own production studio for five years, creating jingles and commercials — hands-on training in sound design, pro-audio workflows, and critical listening through studio monitors that still shapes how he evaluates gear today. He also spent years DJing in clubs before moving into publishing, first at two earlier online magazines before founding Best of High End. His hi-fi and home cinema passion was inherited from his father, an inveterate system-swapper. Marco's first setup — a confirmation gift — paired AKAI separates with entry-level Bowers & Wilkins speakers, a brand he stayed loyal to for years as his system grew from stereo into full surround and home cinema. Like many enthusiasts, he went through an extended "audiophile" phase chasing the next upgrade, before settling into a more grounded view: gear as a means to enjoy music and film, not an end in itself. Years of critical listening have given him a well-trained ear — the ability to characterize a system or pinpoint a change in the chain quickly and accurately. Just as important, his teaching background (a Belgian "regent" degree in Dutch language) gives him the tools to translate those listening impressions into clear, readable writing.
