In this second part of the interview we’ve asked Métronome CEO Jean Marie Clauzel: ‘Why is the Métronome product line-up mainly situated in the ‘digital’ domain?’.
This is something, it’s the origine of the company. The company was born in the mid 80’s. The mid 80’s was the period of the raise of the CD. This is the way the company began. We were really specialists in cd-players at the beginning. Little by little we moved to high resolution music and computer music, but fundamentally, we are on the digital. In the past we tried to make vinyl turntables once. It just didn’t work, because customers recognize us as digital people. It’s really our knowledge, so we’d like to remain focused on that.
