At CES 2026, AWOL Vision has unveiled its most ambitious lineup yet: the Aetherion Series, comprising the flagship Aetherion Max and the Aetherion Pro. Billed as the world’s sharpest 4K RGB triple-laser ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors, these models push the boundaries of home entertainment by delivering full 4K resolution with edge-to-edge clarity on screens up to an astonishing 200 inches – a feat previously unattainable in the UST category without compromising detail.
Breakthrough PixelLock™ Technology: The Heart of Unrivaled Sharpness
The standout innovation is AWOL Vision’s proprietary PixelLock™ system, an integrated optical, mechanical, and digital alignment technology designed to eliminate pixel drift, color fringing, and blurring – common pitfalls in UST projectors due to their extreme throw angles and complex light paths.
PixelLock™ compensates for lens tolerances, thermal expansion, and environmental variables in real time, ensuring congruent pixel alignment across massive scales. Paired with premium components like sapphire-series optical lenses, a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC)-coated lens system boasting 99.97% light transmittance, and the industry’s thinnest terminal imaging lens, the Aetherion Series produces images of surgical precision. A motorized dust-seal cover further preserves long-term clarity.
The result? Theater-grade visuals with zero softness or drop-off, even at 200 inches – ideal for luxurious home cinemas, expansive living rooms, or dedicated man caves.
Performance That Excels in Brightness, Contrast, and Color
- Aetherion Max: 3,300 ISO lumens for vibrant performance in ambient light.
- Aetherion Pro: 2,600 ISO lumens, balancing brightness with efficiency.
Both models feature a 6,000:1 native contrast ratio (up to 60,000:1 with Enhanced Black Level), supported by a 7-level IRIS system, zero light-leakage design, and Anti-RBE technology that virtually eliminates rainbow artifacts. HDR support includes Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+, and Filmmaker Mode, with Dynamic Tone Mapping for scene-by-scene optimization.
Powered by the flagship MT9655 SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, running Google Android TV 14.0, these projectors offer seamless streaming, Wi-Fi 7, and smart home integration.
Gaming Prowess: Speed Meets Immersion
For gamers, the Aetherion Series is a revelation: 1ms-class input lag at up to 240Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and – uniquely – Dolby Vision Gaming. This combination delivers tear-free, ultra-responsive gameplay on massive screens, transforming any space into a competitive arena or immersive stadium experience.
Availability and Pricing
The Aetherion Max carries an MSRP of $4,999, while the Aetherion Pro is priced at $3,499. Commercial availability begins in March/April 2026, with an upcoming Kickstarter campaign launching in late January/early February offering significant early-bird discounts (potentially as low as $1,799–$1,999 with deposit) and exclusive bundles.
Visitors to CES 2026 can experience the Aetherion Series firsthand at AWOL Vision’s booth in Central Hall, #20410.
As Andy Zhao, Founder & CEO of AWOL Vision, states: “Aetherion is the culmination of everything we’ve learned in pushing UST boundaries. It’s engineered to outperform on every axis – speed for gamers, scale for home-theater and sports enthusiasts, and sharpness that outclasses every 4K UST projector.”
