SL Audio was founded in Denmark by audio visionair Peter Lyngdorf back in 2005, to design, develop and manufacture sound systems and components under the umbrella of 2 legendary brand icons: Steinway & Sons and Lyngdorf Audio. The partnership with Steinway & Sons started after Peter Lyngdorf was able to produce the natural sound of the concert piano with a sound system, later called Model D (as a reference to the piano). Today, Steinway Lyngdorf has a range of over 20 loudspeakers to fit the different needs of various customers. The latest edition is called: Model A. Again as a reference to a Steinway & Sons piano model.
Save space, no subs needed
The new Steinway Lyngdorf Model A speaker is intended for those who’s room shape or interior demands a more space-saving setup. Think about living rooms, media rooms, apartments, penthouses, yachts or even home cinemas without the space for separate woofers. To be clear, this model performs optimal when placed against the back wall.
No compromise design
Let’s look at the technology used in this speaker design. Steinway Lyngdorf’s signature Air Motion Transformer tweeter and a dedicated midrange driver provide outstanding clarity and transparency, while two powerful 12” woofers deliver very deep, yet defined bass even from this shallow speaker cabinet. The speaker design features distinct side panels in black piano finish, black strings, and matte gold accents. Custom colors and polished gold details are available on request and special order. The Model A loudspeaker is designed and assembled by hand in Denmark.
The popularity of our Steinway Lyngdorf floor standing speaker systems has grown significantly in recent years. During this phase, it became evident to us that there is a demand for expanding our range to offer a system in between Model O and Model B. This has resulted in the complete net Model A speaker system. Anker Haldan, CCO at Steinway Lyngdorf
Integrated system approach
This speaker system is part of the Steinway Lyngdorf system approach, ensuring each part of the system is designed from the ground up to work perfectly together. RoomPerfect technology is the finishing touch for each integrated system: it calibrates the speaker to the room acoustics, ensuring the best sound experience. So you need a Steinway Lyngdorf stereo or surround processor, along with their digital amplifiers to complement the Model A or any other Steinway Lyngdorf speaker system.
