This system allows users to control the three primary colors Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B) individually, even at large screen sizes. This results in unparalleled color purity and vibrant images with a wide color gamut.

This new display system offers a broader color range and higher brightness, leading to richer color representation and subtle details across the entire brightness spectrum. Thanks to Sony’s advanced backlight control technology, color nuances and light gradations are displayed with high precision, even at the corners of large screens. Sony is collaborating with MediaTek Inc. for the development of control processors, and with ROHM Co., Ltd. for the development of LED driver ICs. The company is also working with Sanan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. for the development of LEDs.
