At CES 2026, Klipsch unveiled the highly anticipated successors to its bestselling powered speakers: The Sevens II and The Nines II. These next-generation models mark a significant milestone by integrating Dirac Live Room Correction as a standard feature, making them among the first two-channel powered speakers to include the acclaimed Swedish audio pioneer’s advanced room-optimization technology. Dirac Live Bass Control will also be offered as a paid upgrade for systems incorporating subwoofers.
Demonstrated in Central Hall Booth #17204, the new Klipsch powered speakers combine the brand’s iconic heritage design with cutting-edge acoustic innovation, delivering reference-level hi-fi performance that adapts seamlessly to any listening environment.
Rikard Hellerfelt, Head of Business Area Consumer Electronics at Dirac, highlighted the collaboration’s importance: Powered speakers like The Sevens II and The Nines II are shaping the future of hi-fi: compact, full-featured, and effortless to integrate. By adding Dirac Live Room Correction, Klipsch is ensuring listeners experience the true performance of these speakers – no matter the room size, dimensions, or layout. These models help further democratize high-fidelity sound and represent an exciting new milestone for our collaboration.
Overcoming Room Limitations for Authentic Sound
The profound impact of room acoustics on audio quality is well-known among audiophiles. Reflections, standing waves, and placement constraints often compromise clarity, imaging, and bass response – challenges that traditional hardware alone cannot fully address.
Dirac Live Room Correction tackles these issues head-on with patented impulse-response and mixed-phase correction algorithms. The result is a dramatically improved listening experience: a larger and more stable sweet spot, precise imaging and staging, enhanced vocal clarity, and deeper, tighter bass. Included in limited bandwidth form, with an optional upgrade to full bandwidth, this technology gives users unprecedented control regardless of speaker placement dictated by furniture or décor.
For even greater low-frequency performance, the optional Dirac Live Bass Control upgrade employs machine learning and AI to co-optimize speakers and subwoofers. By mapping bass distribution and intelligently redistributing low frequencies, it ensures consistent, impactful bass across the entire listening area.
Building on a Legacy of Emotional, Engaging Sound
Paul Jacobs, President and CEO of Klipsch, emphasized the shared philosophy driving the partnership: Klipsch and Dirac share a belief in authentic, high-fidelity, emotionally engaging sound. By integrating Dirac Live into The Sevens II and The Nines II, we’ve ensured these speakers deliver reference-level performance in any room, so listeners can experience the clarity, dynamics, and impact Klipsch is known for – without compromise.
The new models retain the bold aesthetic and robust build quality of their predecessors while adding expanded connectivity options – both digital and analog – alongside the integrated room correction capabilities.
This integration builds on recent successful collaborations between the two companies, including the Klipsch Flexus Core 300 soundbar, and underscores their commitment to expanding premium audio experiences across diverse product categories.
