Enhancing Viewing Experiences in TV Studios
PPDS has been at the forefront of the broadcast industry, delivering innovative solutions that enhance viewing experiences for TV studios and newsrooms worldwide. The company’s latest offerings will be on full display at NAB Show 2025, where attendees can explore how Philips Professional Displays are revolutionizing broadcast environments with their quality and reliability, especially for 24/7 broadcasting.
Robert Luther, Director of dvLED Sales and Support at PPDS, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event: “We are excited to be returning to NAB Show and cannot wait to showcase our latest and greatest innovations for the broadcast industry in Las Vegas. As a company, we work closely with the broadcast industry to model our products around their needs, whether it’s design, technology, or something unique.”
A Landmark Installation at PBS Appalachia Virginia
The excitement leading up to NAB Show 2025 includes the completion of a remarkable installation at PBS Appalachia Virginia, the nation’s first all-digital public TV station. Situated inside the Hard Rock Casino, this groundbreaking studio features a 28ft by 8ft curved Philips dvLED production wall, designed to deliver high-quality local content and PBS network programming.
The installation was executed in under one week, ahead of the studio’s inaugural broadcast. The Philips Unite LED 6000 Series, known for its exceptional performance and ability to present content in resolutions beyond 8K, was the ideal choice for this ambitious project.
A Milestone Moment in Media Innovation
The installation of the Philips dvLED wall represents a significant milestone in media innovation. Described by Julie Newman, COO and General Manager for PBS Appalachia Virginia, as “the most spectacular studio within a 500-mile radius,” the wall’s 1.5mm pixel pitch ensures crystal clear content delivery, enhancing the viewing experience for both studio audiences and viewers at home.
“I was hoping it was going to turn out as good as it looked in the drawings and renderings,” Julie remarked, “but it turned out even better!”
A Comprehensive Broadcast Solution
The collaboration between PPDS, FX Design Group, and DVG has resulted in a state-of-the-art studio that not only elevates the broadcasting experience but also sets a new benchmark in the industry. The three companies will unite once again at NAB Show 2025, showcasing their combined expertise and innovative solutions.
In addition to the Philips Unite LED 6000 Series, PPDS will highlight other solutions during the event, including:
- Philips Videowall X-Line Series (55”): Designed for 24/7 operation, this display captivates viewers with 4K picture quality and features ultra-thin bezels for stunning videowall configurations.
- Philips Signage 4000 Series D-Line (86”): Ideal for impactful content display, this series features QuadViewer technology and a modular design that enhances sustainability by reducing electronic waste.
Looking Ahead to NAB Show 2025
As PPDS continues to solidify its presence in the broadcast market, Nick Begleries, Commercial VP, North America at PPDS, shared insights into the company’s growth. “PPDS continues to make significant waves in the broadcast industry. Last year surpassed all previous records, and 2025 is already kicking off strongly,” he stated.
With an unwavering commitment to responding to market needs, PPDS is poised to be a prominent fixture in tenders for new or upgraded studios. “We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas,” Begleries concluded, inviting attendees to discover the power and possibilities offered by Philips Professional Displays.
