Acoustic Energy has announced the launch of its highly anticipated 300 Series, a significant milestone in loudspeaker design. Drawing insights from the acclaimed Corinium project, this new series features an entirely new acoustic and aesthetic design, making no components interchangeable with its predecessor. This transformation elevates Acoustic Energy’s mid-range offerings to unprecedented levels of performance and value.
New mid-woofer
Central to the 300 Series is the introduction of a brand-new mid-woofer, expertly crafted from a unique blend of paper and coconut husk. This innovative driver delivers a smooth, natural sound characterized by warmth and clarity, while retaining the punch and dynamics that have defined Acoustic Energy’s previous aluminum cone designs. Complementing this mid-woofer is a soft-dome tweeter, developed from the Corinium project, which offers open and delicate high frequencies, ensuring seamless integration across the audio range.
Resonance Suppression Composite
A standout feature of the new 300 Series is its use of constrained-layer RSC™ (Resonance Suppression Composite) cabinets. This technology, initially pioneered in Acoustic Energy’s Reference Series nearly 15 years ago, marks the first time it has been employed at this price point. The advanced construction significantly reduces cabinet radiation, allowing the drive units to perform optimally without interference, resulting in pure, uncolored sound.
Aesthetic appeal
The 300 Series not only excels in acoustic performance but also shines in aesthetic appeal. Designed to blend elegantly into contemporary interiors, the series features bespoke trims and grilles designed for each finish. The cabinets have been slimmed down, particularly the AE307², which now boasts an ultra-shallow sealed enclosure with a passive radiator for enhanced wall-mounting versatility.
In line with modern furniture trends, Acoustic Energy has moved away from the high-gloss finishes of the previous 300 Series. The new models feature a ‘silk-touch’ matte material, available in black or white, with color-coordinated trims, solid aluminum feet (for floor-standing models), and premium grille fabrics, presenting a fresh design statement distinctively identified as Acoustic Energy.
Model Highlights
- AE300²: This compact stand-mount loudspeaker is ideal for small to medium rooms. Featuring the new paper/coconut-fiber bass-mid drivers, it ensures a significant improvement in performance while maintaining competitive pricing.
- AE309²: A slim-line floor-standing model designed for medium to large spaces, the AE309² incorporates new drivers and cabinet design for enhanced audio quality.
- AE320²: A larger floor-standing option based on the Corinium driver array, the AE320² promises maximum performance for medium to large rooms.

Each model in the 300 Series houses advanced drivers within inert, slimline cabinets made from an 18mm constrained-layer RSC™ MDF/bitumen construction. This enhancement leads to clear, undistorted bass performance, thanks to carefully designed slot-shaped duct ports that minimize air turbulence.
The introduction of the 300 Series represents not just an evolution in product design, but a complete reimagining of the standards for performance and aesthetics in the loudspeaker market. Acoustic Energy continues its commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences that resonate with music lovers and home theater enthusiasts alike, ensuring every detail in their designs is aimed at achieving outstanding sound quality.
