The Purifi Audio EVAL5 is an evaluation kit consisting of one amplifier module (1ET9040BA), a enhanced mono front-end board (FE05) and a cable set. Purifi delivered 2 finished sets, completed with Hypex SMPS1200A180 power boards and aluminum housing with heatsinks, ready to use as a pair of class-D mono power amplifiers.

The 1ET8040BA is a mono, Bridge-Tied-Load (BTL) Class D amplifier module that delivers high power output: 375 Watts at 8 Ohm, 750 Watts at 4 Ohm and up to 1.400 Watts at 2 Ohm. It features ultra-low distortion (THD+N of 0.00006%) and a signal-to-noise ratio 5SNR) of 140dB. What about a flat frequency response independent of load, ensuring transparent and accurate sound reproduction across the audio spectrum.
The FE05 is an enhanced Mono Front-End Board. It includes a discrete, ultra-low-noise pre-gain stage with selectable gain opties of 13,5dB, 20dB, 23dB, 26dB and 27dB, with a bypass option for flexibility in system integration. It also provides signal processing and control, simplifying connectivity for power supply and speaker outputs.
The cable set includes all necessary cables for connecting the amplifier module, front-end board, power supply and speakers, making it user-friendly for DIY applications.

The goal was to get every last detail out of every music track. Boy did the guys from Purifi succeed!? Not only is this mono power amp extremely powerful, it presents a pitch-black background and breathes every musical nuance into the room.
Conclusion?
Not for nothing that they call this product the 2nd generation Eigentakt. The first generation already was an ear opener. Purifi kicks it up a notch and offers us the best kit they can produce at this time. A true delight for us audiophiles !
