Estelon first started with updating their classics series. Then they launched a limited Anniversary Edition to the Forza model. Now it’s time to elevate the companies flagship loudspeaker with a significant number of advancements to a MK2 iteration.
Let’s talk updates
First new item is a brand new 168mm ceramic midrange driver with CELL technology from Accuton. This unit is faster than ‘The FLASH’ and offers a highly efficient, resolving and transparent sound. Whatever instrument you feed it: from vocals, piano, strings, horns to cymbals, it reproduces a natural, accurate, realistic and dynamic sound. Also new is a 25mm diamond membrane Accuton tweeter that can reproduce sound up to 60kHz without distortion. How about imaging precision, instrument spatiality, 3D contours and microdetail clarity? Sounds good, doesn’t it? The new Estelon Extreme MK2 contains an upgraded crossover that integrates new and improved inductors, capacitors and resistors. Internal wiring is Kubala-Sosna pure copper cabling for a wider dynamic range and even more transparency.
To finish
The new Estelon Extreme MK2 is rated at $256.000 or €198.000 per pair. They are being offered in two-tone, ultra-premium high-gloss finishes: Midnight Opera, Bronze Royale, Lunar Eclipse and Nordic Emerald. Speaker form and used materials provide unique visual aesthetics and prevents unwanted resonances. The result? Estelon’s new flagship loudspeakers deliver a purer, more airy and more articulated micro dynamics from bass to highs. The speaker disappears completely and is replaced with the recording venue, placing the listener in the middle of the recording.
