64 Audio, a global leader in premium in-ear monitors (IEMs), is celebrating its 15th anniversary, reflecting on a remarkable journey from a family passion project to a trusted name in high-fidelity audio. Renowned by GRAMMY-winning artists, audio engineers, and audiophiles in 92 countries, the company credits its success to its loyal customers and relentless pursuit of innovation.
Fifteen years ago, I never could’ve imagined this, said Vitaliy Belonozhko, Founder and CEO of 64 Audio. What started as a passion project in my spare bedroom has grown into something far bigger than me. To our customers, artists, and community: thank you for believing in us.
From Humble Beginnings to Global Influence
Founded in 2010 as 1964 Ears in Portland, Oregon, 64 Audio began when Belonozhko, a Ukrainian immigrant with a deep love for music, crafted a custom IEM for his wife in his spare bedroom. Driven by a mission to enhance live performance audio, he and his family built a company that now serves top artists like Beyoncé, John Mayer, and Bon Jovi, alongside audiophiles and engineers worldwide.
The company’s breakthrough products, such as the U12t, Fourté, and Nio universal IEMs, and custom models like the A12t and A18s, have set industry benchmarks for sound quality, comfort, and reliability. These achievements stem from patented technologies like apex® (reducing ear fatigue), LID™ (consistent sound across sources), tia™ (tubeless audio for lifelike sound), and 3D-Fit™ (precision custom molding).
Overcoming Challenges Through Innovation
64 Audio’s journey hasn’t been without obstacles. Early on, a legal battle with a larger competitor pushed the company to develop proprietary technologies that redefined IEM design. Innovations like the Aspire Series, featuring fully injection-molded shells, and the Driver Matching Algorithm (DMA) software for precise driver pairing, highlight the company’s technical prowess. “The Aspire Series and DMA are among our proudest achievements,” said R&D Manager Vitaliy Gordeyev, who has been with 64 Audio for a decade.
The COVID-19 pandemic posed another challenge, halting live music. 64 Audio pivoted to focus on studio, audiophile, and remote work markets, further expanding its reach and resilience.
Customer-Centric Philosophy
At its core, 64 Audio prioritizes customer care.
We’re a customer service company that makes in-ear monitors, Belonozhko emphasized. Marketing Manager Filipp Sklyarov added, From answering over 90% of calls personally to creating educational content, we ensure our customers feel supported. This ethos extends to incorporating user feedback into product development, with customers described as “co-creators who shape future innovations.
Celebrating the Milestone
To mark the anniversary, 64 Audio released a 10-minute commemorative video, offering a glimpse into its origins and rise to prominence. The company is also offering a 15% discount on accessories through July 31, 2025, as a thank-you to its community.
Fans can experience 64 Audio’s latest innovations at CanJam SoCal 2025 (September 13–14, Irvine Marriott, Southern California), where new universal IEMs, hands-on demos, and exclusive product previews will be showcased.
